Have you thought lately about how you can invest for your future?. Here is a recent article highlighting the growth in Australians investing in property through negative gearing:
Recent data released by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has revealed that one in seven Aussie taxpayers now owns an investment property, from which they are saving a total $4 billion in tax from negative gearing claims.
The data also proved that Australia’s long-time love affair with property is as strong as ever, with more than a
quarter of the nation’s 1.7 million landlords owning more than one investment property.
The statistics also showed that property investors claimed $20 billion in interest deductions, a not unexpected increase of 25%, given the official cash rate rose to a 14-year high of 7.25% in that time.
